On 12 June 2026, Evertrace detected the first signal of company formation for Eric Fournier. That was 143 days before Gallium Defense's funding announcement.
Eric Fournier founded Gallium Defense with Florian Lemoine and Robin Mandel.
What they’re building
Small FPV drones are cheap, and the systems that detect them are often expensive. Gallium Defense is developing the GDS-10, a low-cost radar that can detect FPV drones up to 10 km away.
The radar uses a software-defined X-band AESA design with 360-degree coverage. It can track swarms, resist jamming and work in all weather. The company plans versions for critical infrastructure and for military use.
The round
Keen Venture Partners and 360 Capital co-led the €7.1m seed round, with Omnes Capital and Polytechnique Ventures. Gallium Defense will use the funding to industrialise and scale production, grow its team from about 15 to 50 people, and run more prototyping, AI development and demonstrations in Europe and NATO-allied countries.
