What they’re building
Invisix is building a soft X-ray measurement system for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The aim is to give chipmakers a clearer view of increasingly complex three-dimensional chip structures.
The company grew out of research developed at ASML. Its work focuses on turning that technology into equipment suitable for use in high-volume manufacturing.
The round
The €20 million seed round included Hitachi Ventures, Transition Ventures, imec.xpand, Doosan Investment Co. and a semiconductor manufacturer. Invisix plans to develop its first commercial system, expand its team and support customer demonstrations.
