On 17 January 2026, Evertrace detected a stealth signal for Michelle Cotter. Michelle was in stealth, working on something new. That was 291 days before Juritas's funding announcement.
Before Juritas, Michelle Cotter held leadership roles at the legal AI company Legora, at Revolut and at Epidemic Sound.
What they’re building
Companies negotiate contracts hard, sign them and move on, while the commitments inside them, such as fees, price increases, renewals and notice deadlines, rarely reach the right person in time. Juritas reads each supplier contract in full, links the amendments, order forms and renewals that belong to it, and records every commitment with a citation to its clause.
Finance, procurement and legal teams can then ask simple questions, such as whether a supplier's volume discount has been triggered, and get an answer that cites the exact clause and shows what to do next. Amounts are calculated in code rather than estimated by AI, and all data is stored in the EU. The first focus is supplier contracts.
The round
The €1.4m pre-seed round was led by Passion Capital, with participation from Blackwood, Araya Ventures, Baseline, Angel Invest and the ByFounders Angel Collective. Juritas will use the funding to grow its engineering team in Stockholm, speed up product development and build the security and infrastructure that large customers require.
