Evertrace first detected a signal of company formation for co-founder Ali Sarrafi in October 2024. Sarrafi was building a new enterprise AI business after his work at Silo AI. Evertrace later detected a stealth signal in September 2025, ahead of Kovant's public launch and funding announcement.
What they're building
Procurement, inventory and other operational functions often run across disconnected systems. Automating one task still leaves people coordinating the rest of the process.
Kovant brings specialised AI agents together to carry out workflows across those systems. Its platform includes governance and human oversight, so teams can set boundaries and decide when an agent should ask for help.
The round
J12 Ventures led the €1.5 million pre-seed, with participation from Ampli, Greens Ventures and angels including Sara Öhrvall and Emmanuel Martin-Chave. Announced alongside its global launch, the funding supports expansion beyond the Nordics into markets including Switzerland and Benelux.
