Evertrace first detected a signal of company formation for co-founder Mikko Kuusisto in November 2024. Kuusisto came from Swappie, where he had led commercial and data work. He was building Rotomate with Jesse Miettinen, whose background includes research into industrial AI and condition monitoring at Aalto University.
What they're building
Factories already collect large amounts of sensor data. The difficult part is deciding which alerts matter, what is causing a problem and what the maintenance team should do next.
Rotomate analyzes machine data alongside maintenance history and operational context. Instead of stopping at an alert, it produces a report with the likely cause, a recommended action and the reasoning behind it.
The round
Kvanted led the €2.1 million pre-seed package, with participation from Robin Capital, Angel Invest and Accel's scout programme, plus an AI development grant from Business Finland. Rotomate plans to develop the product, hire across engineering and commercial roles, and expand to more industrial plants.
