Evertrace first spotted Sintropy.ai in February 2025, when Andrea Codini appeared as its CEO and co-founder after working at Santagostino.
We flagged it as a signal of company formation, 479 days before funding coverage published on 9 June 2026. The record already pointed to a business combining proprietary sensors and AI to improve how companies operate.
What they're building
For a restaurant chain or retailer, energy use adds up across many locations. Sintropy installs wireless sensors on existing equipment, including climate-control systems and kitchen equipment.
Its software uses that information to identify waste and optimise energy use. The approach is designed to fit the equipment and operations businesses already have, rather than requiring them to replace everything.
The round
The seed funding will support further product development and growth across retail and food businesses. Announcement coverage names Maia Ventures as the lead investor, with FPR participating.
